The text box above is a “rich text” text box, which means that the following are among Internet Explorer’s keyboard “shortcuts” which may be used:

NOTE: Unicode characters may be entered in three different formats. For example, the Greek letter Delta may be entered as “Δ,” as “[Delta],” or as “[#916].” In all three cases, it is translated into HTML as “Δ” and will be displayed on the web page as “Δ.” (See “Table of HTML Special Character Designations” - http://pratyatosa.com/HTMLSpecialCharacterTable.htm) Other special codes are as follows: [copy] = ©, [reg] = ®, [trade] = ™, [sup1] = ¹, [sup2] = ², [sup3] = ³, [dagger] = †, [Dagger] = ‡, … (3 periods) = … (…), and "…" = “….”

NOTE: This web page was created using Notepad. Except for the background image file and the keyboard command JavaScript file, it is completely self contained, and the absence of these two files will not cause any problems. Please feel free to save it to your hard drive using “File/Save as….” Double-click on the newly created “Pratyatosa - Utility - Convert Rich Text to HTML and Vice Versa” icon (“RichText2HTML” for Firefox), and make it one of your “Favorites.” It will work perfectly even when you are no longer connected to the Internet, or, heaven forbid, when this web page is no longer available!

Questions, comments and suggestions are welcome.
