(Kṛṣṇa’s mercy!) This website uses Sanskrit diacritics with no special font required. It uses the “Tahoma” font. The versions of both the Tahoma and the Microsoft Sans Serif fonts which come with the latest versions of Microsoft Windows display 30 out of the 31 standard ISKCON Sanskrit diacritic characters correctly. To get enhanced versions of the Tahoma font, the Microsoft Sans Serif font, and the Lucida Sans Unicode font which display all 31 diacritic characters correctly, download and install “fonts.zip” (702 KB - Updated: August 3, 2006). To compare the way the fonts should look to the way they look on your particular computer / web browser, click here.
On April 30, 2007, in order to implement the keyboard command functions, a Perl program was used to make thousands of changes to this website. I don’t have time to test all of the changes, so if you find any bugs or typos, please let me know.
