News: Another Dream About Srila Prabhupada

Dear Prabhus, please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

I just got through doing a ten day fast, wherein the only thing that I “ate” was lemonade sweetened with maple syrup, and spiced with a little cayenne pepper. The middle of the ten day fast was interrupted by one day called Nirjala Ekadasi, upon which I ate and drank nothing, not even water.

Tuesday, the day before yesterday, was the eleventh day of my fast. I broke it by drinking nothing but orange juice all day. Yesterday, I drank orange juice and after 4 P.M. had some vegetable soup. Today, I plan to have some vegetable soup with brown rice in it, and tomorrow, Krsna willing, will resume eating normally.

I was hoping to have some sort of religious experience, perhaps toward the end of this fast, and now it appears to have actually happened last night, in the form of a very vivid dream about Srila Prabhupada.

The last time that I had a dream about Srila Prabhupada was almost exactly a year ago (See: “A Dream About Srila Prabhupada,” http://pratyatosa.com/?P=o), and at that time I was just an observer. This time I was an active participant in Srila Prabhupada’s pastimes, and a seemingly very significant one at that. I’m not sure what my exact position was, but it must have been something like “Srila Prabhupada’s personal secretary.”

I don’t remember Srila Prabhupada actually saying anything in this dream, but I remember that some of the present and former ISKCON “gurus” were wanting to talk with Srila Prabhupada, but I wouldn’t let them. I told them that Srila Prabhupada didn’t want to talk with those who had proven that they were envious of him, by trying to imitate him, by sitting on a high seat, like him, even in the presence of their godbrothers.

In my dream, I was approached by a godbrother, Bhagavan Dasa, one of the original 11 who first pretended to be a “guru.” He obviously wanted some sort of position back, but I told him that Srila Prabhupada only wants to be surrounded by those who have proven to be loyal to him, not by those, such as the original 11 usurpers of his movement, who have proven to be envious of him.

I told Bhagavan that he belongs in jail, and that I wished that I could go after him, and the others, legally, but that I had no money, so what could I do? I also told him that if I ever got any money, perhaps by suing ISKCON for child abuse, then I would certainly use it to go after the conspirators, such as himself, who “took over” Srila Prabhupada’s ISKCON. I said some more to him on this subject, but I’m pleading the “5th Amendment” on that portion of the conversation.

Throughout this dream, Srila Prabhupada was extremely effulgent, energetic, and obviously had complete control over his immediate surroundings, but I’m not sure whether or not he had gotten complete control over ISKCON yet.

Many devotees were waiting their turn to talk with Srila Prabhupada in person, but he did not want to speak to any of his imitators, the infamous ISKCON “gurus.”

Your servant,
Pratyatosa Dasa

I dream about Srila Prabhupada so rarely -- I'll take whatever I can get!

I don’t think anything of the kind. The dream was a complete surprise to me, and I was just reporting on it.
