Do the first three steps simultaniously:

1. On the stove, heat a small pot of maple syrup to boiling. (I keep a small, covered, stainless steel pot of maple syrup in the frig. at all times just for this purpose)

2. In your electric toaster, toast 2 batches (4 waffles) of Pillsbury Frozen Blueberry Waffles. (The list of ingredients is downright scary, but at least it doesn’t include any eggs)

3. Melt ¼ cup (½ stick) of butter¹.

4. One at a time, while pouring a liberal amount of melted butter and hot maple syrup onto each, put the 4 waffles into a 1 quart microwavable bowl.

5. Offer and serve while hot. (If they cool down before serving, microwave for 30 seconds)

¹ I microwave the butter in a wide mouth (5 ½") “coffee cup.” The purpose of using a wide mouthed cup is that it eliminates the possibility of the butter “boiling over.” I keep the cup in the freezer along with the butter just for this purpose. I microwave it for 2 minutes at power level 6 (out of 10). Also, there’s no need to wash the cup every time you use it. Simply put it back in the freezer.
