Are any of the following true of you?
1. No time to cook.
2. No time to wash dishes.
3. No time to eat in restaurants.
If so, then this recipe may be for you!
This recipe uses a foam bowl¹ and a plastic spoon¹ as the only preparation and eating utensils.
1. Using a 20 oz. disposable foam bowl¹, use your fingers to tear off whole leaves of Iceberg lettuce until the bowl is ¾ full.
2. Using your fingers, tear the leaves into bite sized pieces.
3. After filling the bowl with cold tap water, use your fingers to swish the lettuce around for a few seconds.
4. Drain off the water by covering the bowl with your hand, fingers slightly separated.
5. Add at least 3 almonds. (Edgar Casey said that if you eat 3 almonds a day, you won’t get cancer.)
6. Add a handful of golden raisins.
7. Add a handful of cashews.
8. Add some Swad Chevdo². (optional)
9. Add a few “glugs” of olive oil.
10. Add a liberal amount of Swad Samosa Chutney³. (Don’t use commercial salad dressings. They all contain ingredients which Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa does not like, such as vinegar, onions, and/or garlic.)
11. Put some “Dannon® All Natural Plain Yogurt” or some cottage cheese on top.
¹ At Wal-Mart®, I’ve purchased Hefty® brand 20 oz. foam bowls in packages of 30 for US$2.54 and Diamond® brand plastic spoons in packages of 48 for US$1.14.
² Swad® Chevdo is a spicy, crunchy mixture of mostly rice & beans that’s ½ protein. It also contains turmeric and chili powder which are both purported to have outstanding health benefits. Swad Chevdo is available from East Indian grocery stores. Call 800-800-SWAD to locate a dealer in your area.
