One way that I try to be Kṛṣṇa conscious at home is through the agency of transcendental sound vibration from the lips of the pure devotee:

1. By pushing the “Play CD #1” button on an inexpensive three-CD stereo system in the “japa chanting room,” it turns on and plays three copies of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s japa CD continuously for up to four hours. (By pressing the “AUX” button, this stereo system may also be used to play whatever is being played on the main sound system.)

NOTE: Numbers 2 through 4 below play through the main sound system which plays in the living/sleeping room, in the bathroom (only when the bathroom light is turned on), and may also be played in the “japa chanting room”:

2. By pushing the “Play” button on a cheap DVD player (Wal-Mart sells it for less than $44) it plays all of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s music MP3s in random sequence. (This DVD player is used for no other purpose.)

3. By pushing a computer’s “on” button it boots up and then automatically plays all of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s lecture/conversation MP3s in random sequence.

4. By pushing the “Play CD” button on an MP3 boom box it turns on and plays all of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s Kṛṣṇa Book dictation MP3s in random sequence. (This boom box also serves as a high quality AM/FM stereo radio for the sound system.)
